Have you ever had a crazy idea to start a new diet. Do you ever wonder why when you mention the word Diet your throat closes up and your hands start to sweat. I know when I say I am starting a new diet, or when i even just think about dieting, I start thinking about all the food I am already subconsciously denying myself. Then BAM!! I want all the food...Pizza, pasta, bread, pastries....You name them and I will want them....All in one sitting.
Let's not even talk about meal prepping. Just kidding, lets torture ourselves and chat about this for a second. I can recall a few dozen times I thought meal prepping was a good idea for me. Do it big or don't do it all...Right? This meal prepping thing was SO wrong for me. Or, maybe I just went about it wrong. (Kudos to ya'll who are champions at the meal prep game. I applaud you) I would spend hours, or days looking up different meals on Pinterest, because lets face it, meal prepping involves gourmet meals. Then more hours getting the grocery list together. I also HAD to order the meal prepping containers , because what I already had at home was.....Well, it was just fine, i just wanted new ones. Remember, Do it Big or don't do it at all....Geez. I would get all this food made and get up Monday morning and forget my food at home, Or I would work completely through lunch, or what I made yesterday did not sound appetizing when it was time to eat, and just like that a week has gone by and all those meals would still be perfectly stacked in my refrigerator. (Insert Huge Sigh Here)

Wait? What? This sounds like you? Girl, I know, most of us have been there and done that Over and Over AGAIN.
When I hear the word diet I automatically feel restricted and deprived. Instead of focusing on what I could have I whined and cried about what I couldn't or shouldn't eat while on the Diet. Let me tell you I complained BIG TIME!! Because, hey why not make this eating healthy thing or new work out I was trying (or lack of trying) harder than it is supposed to be.
I have tried every new Fad pill, shake, coffee, juice, exercise video that I could find. I can't even tell you how much money was spent on all this stuff (Sorry Paul) But nothing worked for me. Actually, I was not patient enough to give it time to work. I was looking for an easy solution. If any of you happen to find the easy solution, hook a sista up! I wanted a magic pill, shake or someone to wave a wand over me and Hallelujah I would be thin and look 25 again. What can I say, I am a dreamer.
One day I just decided I am no longer going to follow a Diet or buy any other supplement of any kind until I really researched what was best for me. I am gonna change my lifestyle!
"To loose weight permanently requires faith - faith there is a bigger life
waiting for you beyond food and weight."
~Catherine L. Taylor~
I had to find something, a work out and the best foods that worked for me and not against me. Once I figured this out, my energy level was up and I could start to see changes in my body. I will be totally transparent, the scale has barely moved at all which it so freaking frustrating, and yes I do whine and cry about it. I am working on not allowing the scale to determine my day. I am seeing results in the way my clothes fit and how I preform in my workouts.
You cannot go back and change mistakes you made in the beginning, but you can start where you are today and change your ending. No matter when you start. Pick a day and do not stop. It will be hard, it will challenge you, it will change your life and it will be so worth it. You are worth it!
Everything is hard. Working out is hard, not working out is hard. Eating healthy is hard and not eating healthy is hard. Pick your Hard and win your day!
