THE GLEAM TEAM: MY TRIBE

hello my gleaming beauties,
What is a Gleam Team?
The Gleam Team is my version of a Boss Babe Tribe, or a Dream Team of Girlfriends.
I am a person that needs accountability in my life. Whether it is diet, exercise, work, marriage, home stuff, I need all the accountability. My husband has pretty much taken this on for years. ( he really didn't have a choice)
This has been on my heart for years, I just didn't know how to start this. Ok that is a complete lie! I was so freaking afraid of being judged that it kept me from calling women to
help me figure this out.
Why The Gleam Team? Why the name Gleam? Lets just start with
the definition of Gleam.
Gleam: Shine Brightly especially with the reflection of Light
When we shine so bright and use our brightness to help someone else
shine, This to me is what true relationship is about. Using our
brightness (talents and gifts) when your friends are feeling unsure about what to do. We all team together to crush our goals.
It took some time but I finally sat and talked with a friend of mine one day (not just any friend but a friend for over 40 years) I was explaining to her this vision I had. She actually sat there in AWE. I would like to think she was so awestruck because of how freaking awesome this idea was and how amazing I am......But no. She was kind of in shock because this is something that she has been wanting to do.
We declared right then and there that this was gonna happen. We set dates and goals for what we wanted this team to look like.
We decided that we would both invite 2 women to join us. We knew that we could not invite friends although that would be the easiest, we had to invite women that we did not tknow but that we wanted to know them. Women that were ready to make goals, and put in the work to make their goals happen.
I remember the day we planned to send the ladies the email asking them to meet with us. Holy Moly, I was so scared, embarrased, and just ready to hide under a rock. Would they think I was a crazy lady? That is was trying to sell them something? But......that did not happen. We met with them and explained what we wanted to do and they were all In. I have built some incredible relationships with these 4 ladies. This was totally meant to be!
We are now about three months into our DREAM of this coming to LIFE. There is a total of 5 women. We are all in different businesses and have different walks of life. My friend Dawn and I were the only ones that knew each other. The other ladies that have become part of this sisterhood were women that we wanted to know. We seen them as power women (total boss babes) and wanted, no we actually needed, them to help us with accountability and growth.
We hope in the future to offer this group to other women, but we are all still learning what this is.
Can't wait to fill you in on more Gleam talk.
